Defcon have gone straight for the jugular with solid 4/4 melodic techno for the first hour. It’s everything you’d expect too and that Northern Exposure influence they told us about can be heard in full flow. It’s Science fiction house music at it’s finest as it builds into massive structures and expansive synths and waves with licks of robots voices and subtle effects layered over and in-between. The second hour then changes pace and texture entirely morphing into deep breaks, acid and low end squelch theory. You can really hear the wealth of Leftfield and eclectic electronic music this duo clearly understands and happily revel around in.
